Bullseye is a 6.5-month-old male Retriever/Pit Bull mix who currently weighs 40 pounds and is expected to be a large dog when fully grown. He is being fostered in Houston, Texas. Bullseye and his siblings were rescued from the woods outside of Houston after their mom gave birth during a Texas freeze. He is the biggest but most introverted of his litter, often observing before joining in. Bullseye loves dinnertime, belly rubs, scratches, and snuggling. He is gentle, thoughtful, and has a calm presence, making him a loyal companion with a soft heart and an easygoing personality. He enjoys playing and wrestling with his siblings and other dogs, and has done well with children. He is potty trained but may have occasional accidents as he adjusts to a new routine. Ideal Home
Bullseye would thrive in a home where he can continue to learn and grow with consistent, positive reinforcement. We prefer homes with another friendly, well-mannered dog to act as a mentor. If you don't have another dog, we would love to hear your plan for continued socialization, such as structured training classes, supervised daycare, or regular playdates with trusted dogs. Because Bullseye is still young, we also prefer homes where someone isn't routinely away for more than four to six hours at a time to ensure he receives regular potty breaks, exercise, enrichment, training, and human interaction.
