Diego ¡Ándale! ¡Ándale!

Diego is a spirited and playful 2-3 year old, 62 lb Doberman mix who was found wandering alone near a busy road in Houston. Luckily, a kind person took him in and reached out to rescue. Diego is neutered, vaccinated, and has completed heartworm treatment. He's a smart cookie who seems to understand "¡Ándale! ¡Ándale! ¡Arriba! ¡Arriba!" and is ready for his forever home!

Ideal Home

Diego would thrive in a home with a yard where he can safely zoom around to his heart's content. He's looking for someone familiar with the Doberman breed's energy levels. Due to his strong prey drive, he cannot live in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Diego's ears are cropped but do not stand; they have some scarring from past issues, but they do not cause him any discomfort or require special care now.

Training & Support

Diego is crate trained and uses it as his "off" button. He enjoys car rides and meeting new people, and is generally quiet and observant. He needs opportunities for both physical and mental exercise. He has been fostered with dogs of all sizes and personalities and is playful and conflict-averse, often encouraging other dogs to join his high-speed zoomies.

Diego is currently being fostered in Texas. Adoption fees include transport options to the PNW, Midwest, or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states via pet transport partners.
