Meet Sussy, your new adventure buddy for life! Sussy is an approximately 3-year-old, 60-pound Labrador mix who was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas. She’s now looking for the loving forever home she truly deserves. Sussy is a joyful, loving, and loyal companion who always seems to be smiling. She's incredibly intelligent and forms strong bonds with her people. If you're seeking a fun-loving partner for all your outdoor escapades, Sussy is your girl! She's playful, energetic, and athletic, ready for hiking, running, camping, or simply enjoying time outdoors. She’s crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and rides well in the car, making her an easygoing companion for daily life and weekend trips. Sussy is eager to give endless smiles, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of unforgettable memories in return for your love.

Ideal Home

An active family that enjoys outdoor activities, with a fenced backyard. Families should have an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and be willing to provide protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups. Sussy is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Sussy has completed her spay/neuter, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and a heartworm test. She has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Sussy is not house-trained. As many rescued pets require extensive rehabilitation, Wags is unable to house-train each individual animal. Adopters should be prepared to provide ongoing training and support.

Application Details:

• Participate in a phone/email interview.
• Undergo a home check (virtual or in-person).
• Engage in a virtual meet-and-greet.
• Complete a trial adoption period.

The adoption fee is finalized prior to transport and includes spay/neuter, complete vaccinations (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), deworming, heartworm test, and health certificate. A transport fee of $400.00 (provided by a transport company) will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.

Transportation

Sussy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest.
