Just because you’re beautiful doesn’t mean the world will always be kind to you. Rayo is living proof of that. This stunning boy found himself alone on the streets of Houston, abandoned and confused. A compassionate passerby spotted him wandering dangerously close to a busy highway and didn’t hesitate. In a single, brave moment, they scooped Rayo up before tragedy could strike. Rayo was brought to a vet and scanned for a microchip, holding onto the quiet hope that maybe he was simply lost. A chip was found, but his owner refused to come for him. That’s when his future truly changed. The good Samaritan reached out to our rescue, and we made a promise to Rayo: he will never be left behind again. Rayo is playful, goofy, and full of joy. He greets everyone like a friend he’s known forever, his tail wagging as if to say, “I’m still here. I still believe in people.” He’s potty trained, and we are currently awaiting his heartworm results. What we already know for certain is this—Rayo’s heart is wide open and ready to love again.
