This is Knox, a sweet and very good-natured 9-month-old, 42 lb retriever mix who is patiently waiting for his forever family! While many pups his age are bouncing off the walls with energy, Knox is a gentle soul. He's a tad on the timid side but incredibly welcoming and has a wonderfully even temperament. Knox is a well-mannered boy, comfortable at home, out in public, and even at the vet's office! He was rescued with his mom, a street pup who had her last litter in a foster home. Knox is the last of his siblings still searching for his special person. He's playful, loves his toys and treats, and enjoys spending time with kids and his doggy friends. He would likely thrive in a home with a friendly dog who can show him the ropes. Knox is a smart pup who is very tolerant and learns quickly. He currently spends most of his time outdoors with his mom and another dog, so he'll need a little extra time and patience to adjust to indoor living, but he's eager to please and will pick up on new routines in no time. Black dogs like Knox can sometimes be overlooked, but please don't let that happen to this wonderful, calm, and good-natured pup – he truly would be a fantastic addition to any family!
Ideal Home
A home with a friendly dog to serve as a mentor would be ideal for Knox. He would need some extra time and patience to learn the rules of being an indoor pup.

All core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) are up to date. He has been spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Transporation
Knox is currently located in South Texas. He can be transported to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, Virginia, Maryland, and other states on the East and West Coast, with placement in his adoptive family's home. Our adoption fee includes transportation fees.
