Elmo

Elmo is a 10-month-old Great Pyrenees mix who arrived with a bullet lodged near his spine. Thankfully, it has become encapsulated, and specialists have determined that removal would be too risky. This medical history does not define Elmo's future; he is healthy, comfortable, and expected to live a long, happy life. He is a normal, joyful dog who loves his walks, his people, and his canine friends. He is good with other dogs and people, and especially loves a comfy dog bed for relaxation. While he hasn't lived with cats, he showed mild interest, suggesting that cat-savvy felines might be compatible.

Ideal Home

Elmo would do best in a home that understands he doesn't need to be an extreme athlete. He enjoys his walks but should avoid activities involving excessive leaping or climbing. He would thrive in a home that appreciates him as a wonderful companion without needing him to be an adventure dog. Due to his medical history and size, homes with children over 10 or sturdy kids are recommended, to ensure they are old enough to understand Elmo's needs.
