Callie is a sweet 5-year-old Border Collie who has retired from her previous life as a farm dog and mama. She came to us from a situation where she lived outdoors and was primarily used for farm protection and breeding. Now, Callie is ready to trade in her working boots for a cozy spot by your side!
Since being in foster care, Callie has discovered the joys of being a beloved companion. She's a bit timid at times, which is understandable given her past, but she absolutely adores receiving pets and cuddling with her humans. You'll often find her supervising yard work with her adorable floppy ears bouncing along, or simply enjoying a quiet moment watching the world go by from the window. Her foster mom has discovered she has a weakness for hot dogs and has recently developed a taste for pup cups, making her a likely candidate to learn commands quickly with tasty rewards! She's already a pro at being potty and crate trained and even seeks out her crate as a safe, quiet retreat.
Ideal Home
Callie would do best in a calm household without young children. She has shown to be okay with patient dogs and would likely enjoy a low-key canine companion.
Ongoing Health
Callie's adoption fee of $500 includes her spay surgery, microchip, rabies, Bordetella, and age-appropriate DAPP vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventative, and deworming treatment.
Training & Support
Callie is potty and crate trained. She is motivated by treats and may learn new commands quickly with positive reinforcement, especially if hot dogs are involved!
