Macie is a bold, brilliant, and spirited 5.5-month-old puppy with the heart of a survivor. She and her littermates were found abandoned on a cold January night but were rescued and have been thriving in loving foster homes. Macie is an active and curious pup who loves to play, especially with other dogs who can match her energy. She's always ready for an adventure and is constantly learning and figuring things out.
Ideal Home
Macie is an intelligent and energetic herding breed mix. She needs a home that understands herding breeds and is committed to providing her with plenty of activity, structure, training, and enrichment. She is not a couch potato and will thrive with a purpose. Macie does well with other dogs who can keep up with her play style, but finding the right match can be challenging, so she may be placed as an only pet for some adopters. Due to her energy level and herding instincts, she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
Training & Support
Heelers are driven, athletic, and smart dogs that require consistent training, structure, and outlets for their energy to prevent frustration, nipping, or being overwhelmed. Adopters should be prepared to provide this ongoing guidance.
