Hi, I'm Roxy... and I'm ready for my first real chance at being someone's dog.
I'm a beautiful, full-blooded Rottweiler with the rich black and tan markings everyone loves. People always tell me how pretty my face is, but my favorite thing about it is my signature block-head tilt. Say my name, and I'll tip my head like I'm trying to understand every word you're saying.
Everyone at Ark keeps telling me what a wonderful girl I am. I know how to sit, I love to learn, and I'm eager to make my people happy. Training me is easy because all I really want is your attention and your approval.
If you visit me, don't be surprised if you find me hanging out with the cats. I think kittens are pretty neat, and I enjoy checking in on my little feline friends whenever I can.
My favorite place to be is right beside you. Sometimes I'll gently sit on your feet just so I can feel close. Give me a little room, and I'll roll right over with my belly in the air, hoping you'll stop everything for a good belly rub. I don't mind hugs, kisses, or having you right in my face. I soak up every bit of affection because I waited a long time to know what it feels like.
The only time my heart sinks is when someone calls my name just to walk me back to my lonely kennel. Every day I hope they'll be calling me because I've found my forever family instead.
People sometimes see a big Rottweiler before they see the heart inside. But if you have a special place in your soul for big, gentle love bugs, I promise you'll discover one of the sweetest companions you'll ever meet.
I've spent my life raising puppies. Now I'm ready to spend the rest of my life being someone's baby.
