Cara

Cara is a seven-month-old spayed female mixed breed. Her mother appears to be a Shepherd Pyrenees mix with wavy hair, which our veterinarian believes indicates Chesapeake Bay Retriever ancestry. We have no information about her father. Cara was born in the home where her mother was initially taken in as a stray. She joined our rescue when she was four months old. Cara is a smart girl, affectionate, and has a great balance of energy and chill. She was spayed in February 2026 and received all necessary vaccinations, including rabies and Bordetella, and was heartworm tested.

• The total adoption cost is $175.
• A $75 transport fee is due to secure transport from our rescue.
• The remaining $100 adoption fee is due upon pickup.

Transportation

Cara is located at our rescue in Texarkana, Texas. Transport is available to the following locations once a month: Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Arnold, Missouri; Springfield, Illinois; Bloomington, Illinois; Rockford, Illinois; Madison, Wisconsin; and Kalamazoo, Michigan. You can designate someone else to pick up your pet.
