Johnny

Here's Johnny! This handsome 11-year-old Pug is a real sweetheart who weighs 30.5 pounds and has the most endearing tiny crooked teeth. Johnny is very engaged with the world around him and watches everything with great enthusiasm. He walks nicely on a leash, though he is currently obese. We're happy to report that after his vet exam, Johnny has a healthy heart, no murmurs, and no heartworms! This lovable senior was surrendered along with two other dogs due to unfortunate circumstances that were not their fault. Johnny, along with Sebastian and Storm, are all well-behaved and gentle when taking treats, and Johnny has a delightful snort that is sure to make you smile. He immediately took to us, and we dare you not to fall in love. Johnny knows "sit" and his love for a treat is immense!

Ideal Home

Johnny needs a family dedicated to helping him achieve a healthy weight through consistent walks and a strict diet. While he's a senior, he needs to be active, not sedentary.

Ongoing Health

Johnny is currently obese and will need a dedicated weight loss plan to improve his hip and knee health, as well as his overall well-being. He has a healthy heart and no heartworms.

Training & Support

Johnny knows "sit." His primary need is for a family to help him lose weight through diet and exercise. We know it will be tough love to resist giving him people food, but it's for his own best interest to help him have a brighter and healthier future.
