Archie

Archie is a handsome 4 1/2 year old brindle Scottish Terrier who joined our rescue a few months ago. He came to us under sad circumstances after his owner passed away and his elderly mother could no longer care for him. Archie was initially quite fearful and exhibited some aggressive behaviors due to being in a completely new and unfamiliar environment. However, with a little time and a lot of patience from his foster mom, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion! He's made incredible progress in learning new things and unlearning old habits, showing just how smart and adaptable he truly is. We're so proud of how far he's come!

Ideal Home

Archie would do best in an adult-only home. He's comfortable with or without other dogs and would thrive in a quieter environment. A fenced yard would be ideal, but he also enjoys leisurely walks on a leash. A parent or parents experienced with the Scottie breed, who are patient and understanding, would be his perfect match.

Ongoing Health

Archie is up-to-date on vaccinations and has recently been neutered. He is currently being treated for an ear infection. He does experience seasonal allergies, which are easily managed with a periodic Cytopoint injection.

Training & Support

Archie is working with a trainer and is making great strides in his behavioral development. He is a smart and playful boy who is affectionate once he feels comfortable and trusts you.
