Meet Koda! This handsome 31 lb. Aussie mix is about 9 years young and ready to find his forever home. Koda is a sweet, calm, and friendly boy who absolutely adores his people and soaks up every bit of attention. He's fully house-trained and enjoys leisurely walks, though he truly shines when he has space to run outdoors! He's known to be an escape artist, so he'll need to be closely monitored, especially when doors are opened. While traditional toys don't excite him, he finds endless joy in a simple empty plastic bottle! Koda is a social butterfly and would likely do well with other dogs, but he's also perfectly content to be the apple of your eye. Unfortunately, he's not a fan of cats. Koda came to us as a stray about four years ago with an untreated leg injury, which now causes a slight limp. Thankfully, it doesn't slow him down, and his vet isn't concerned about any long-term issues. Koda is a healthy, affectionate senior who has overcome a lot and has so much love left to give. He'll thrive in a home that understands his need for a secure environment and is looking for a loyal, gentle companion.
Ideal Home
Koda needs a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy his love for running outdoors. Due to his tendency to be an escape artist, he must be closely monitored around doors. He cannot live in a home with cats.
Ongoing Health
Koda has a slight limp due to an old leg injury that was not treated. His vet is not concerned about long-term issues. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.
Training & Support
Koda is fully house-trained and walks wonderfully on a leash. He requires close monitoring around doors due to his escape artist tendencies.
