Hazel

Hazel is a resilient, gentle girl who has blossomed after a very difficult start in life. Now safe and thriving, she’s ready for a forever home where she can continue to grow at her own pace and feel deeply secure with her people. Hazel is medium-energy and enjoys daily walks, backyard play, and then settling in close to her humans. She’s leash-trained, food-motivated, and knows basics like sit, wait, and “get in.” She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and is generally calm and well-mannered at home. She can be shy with new people and needs a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’s affectionate, loyal, and happiest just being near you—whether you’re working, relaxing, or watching TV.

Ideal Home

Hazel would do well with a compatible dog or as an only dog, and she is good with children. She is not good with cats. A fenced yard would be a bonus for her zoomies and ball-chasing, but she can also do well with regular walks and routine activity. Hazel thrives most of all with patient, loving people who let her move at her own pace.

Hazel is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Hazel is housebroken and crate trained. She is generally calm and well-mannered at home. She can be shy with new people and needs a little time to warm up.
