Meet Popi, the happiest little survivor!

Popi was abandoned on a rooftop in Jarretaderas with two other dogs. Thanks to the Nayarit animal welfare officer, she was safely brought into care and finally given the vet attention and food she desperately needed. Once a kennel opened up, she joined us at the shelter and she has not stopped smiling since. She's a sweet, social girl who is full of gratitude and ready for a home where she'll never be forgotten again.

Popi is learning to walk on a leash and would benefit from continued training and positive reinforcement to help her build confidence.

Transporation

Popi is located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home. It can be challenging to secure flight companions during May and June, so dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. We have successfully completed many adoptions over the summer with volunteers helping to bring dogs to their adopters at the border. This remains a great option to keep adoptions moving forward.
