Lazarus "Lazzie"

Meet Lazarus, affectionately known as Lazzie, Russie, or Laz! This handsome 3-4 year old, 50 lb. black Lab mix is a volunteer favorite. Lazzie is a calm, gentle, and quiet boy with a gorgeous, shiny coat. He loves to spend his days lounging and cuddling on the bed with the other dogs and his people. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and currently lives harmoniously with a chihuahua and a 70 lb. pit bull. Lazzie also enjoyed socializing at an adoption event at a local bar, where he was sweet and gentle with every stranger he met. He came to us covered in mange and suffering from an upper respiratory infection, found alone in a ditch. Thankfully, he's now healthy, strong, and strikingly handsome!

Ideal Home

Lazzie enjoys lounging and cuddling, so a home where he can relax with his family and other dogs would be perfect. He has proven to be dog-friendly and is likely also kid and cat-friendly.

Ongoing Health

Lazzie is fully vaccinated and neutered.

Training & Support

Lazzie is kennel trained and potty trained.

Transporation

Lazzie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be arranged to your state or a neighboring state. Please note that pickup locations may vary. We coordinate with multiple ground transport services that operate weekly or monthly to Eastern and Western states. Adopters can track their dog's transport using the Life360 app or via Facebook chats.
