Meet Lakota – A Stunning, Intelligent Husky Looking for Her Forever Home
Lakota is a beautiful 4-year-old Siberian Husky with a sharp mind and a gentle soul. She's a rescue who has been with us for two years. She is fully vetted and healthy, and absolutely striking to look at — truly the kind of dog that turns heads everywhere she goes. Lakota is what we call a project dog; she wants connection so badly, you can see it in her eyes and in the way her body leans forward, aching to be touched. She longs for affection, yet fear still holds her back. For now, she's just not quite brave enough to accept it. She is very shy until she builds trust and gets to know you. She loves her walks and is great on a leash. Running freely in a safe yard and dipping her paws in water are some of her favorite things. Lakota also takes pride in keeping herself clean and looking her best. While she isn’t a big fan of car rides, she makes up for it with her loyal and loving personality once she’s settled. She has so much loyalty and love to give to the right person, and she's patiently waiting for her forever home.

Lakota would thrive in a home where she can be someone’s top priority — ideally as the only pet — with a family who will give her the time, structure, and love she deserves. A very patient, kind person would be perfect for her. Because of her breed, intelligence, and independent nature, she would do best with an experienced Husky owner who understands the needs of this special breed.
