Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who weighs around 60 pounds and is already neutered. He's a loyal companion with a wonderful balance of playful energy and cuddly relaxation. Zac was rescued from a local shelter and underwent FHO surgery to repair an old injury in his back leg. He's now fully healed and requires no further medical treatment or medication. Zac has a happy-go-lucky personality, loves to be around people, and is even a bit of a conversationalist, especially if dinner is running late! He enjoys toys and treats, and has shown no signs of resource guarding.
Ideal Home
Zac thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where he won't be left alone for long periods. He enjoys having other dogs around or people nearby to share his life with. While he hasn't lived with young children, his foster believes he'd do well with a family willing to continue teaching him not to jump up when excited.
Ongoing Health
Zac has fully recovered from his FHO surgery and has no ongoing health concerns or medication needs.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He walks calmly on leash and doesn't react to other dogs. His foster home is working on teaching him not to jump up when he gets excited.
