About Chip

Chip is a 2-year-old, neutered male Pit bull mix weighing around 60 lbs. Chip is as sweet as a chocolate chip cookie and is searching for his forever home! He is a playful, curious, and loving dog looking for an experienced adopter who can provide patience, safety, and endless love. Chip is a certified lover boy who loves to cuddle and be around his people; he'll be your shadow everywhere you go. While he can be a bit cautious when he first meets new people, once he trusts you, he'll be your best friend forever! Chip adores his people, loves going on sniffing walks (and does well on the leash), is crate-trained and potty-trained, and loves to be outdoors. He's also the king of costumes and can rock any outfit! Chip has done well with his foster dog siblings, who are calm and enjoy his play style. He LOVES to play and would do best with more calm/submissive doggy siblings that are happy to engage with him. Chip would also do well as an only dog if he could go on outings periodically. He does ask that he not live with any cats, please. Chip's ideal humans would enjoy having him as their right-hand man and understand that he can be anxious when left alone. He has been working on his separation anxiety and can be crated when left home. Chip would thrive with a family that can keep up with his training and would love to work with you! He would happily accompany you on outings, as he is thrilled to go on car rides, walks, and see the world with his people. At home, once he has finished his initial decompression period, Chip will go full puppy mode and play with all the toys. He has also done well around older children!

Ideal Home

Chip would thrive with a family that can keep up with his training and is looking for a loyal companion. He would do best with calm/submissive doggy siblings or as an only dog with regular outings. Chip asks that he not live with any cats. Chip can be anxious when left alone, so a home that understands this and can provide patience and support for his separation anxiety is ideal.

Ongoing Health

Chip is a neutered male. No other ongoing health concerns are mentioned.

Training & Support

Chip is crate-trained and potty-trained. He can be anxious when left home alone and is working on his separation anxiety, but can be crated. He would love to work with his new family on training. Slow introductions to new dogs are recommended.
