Meet Josie, a sweet and loving 3-year-old pittie mix who's been waiting a little too long for her forever home. Josie is a beautiful black dog with a fun-loving and loyal personality. She adores adventures, whether it's a hike or a trip to the beach, but she's also a champion couch potato. Josie is housebroken and crate trained, and she knows "sit" and "crate" very well. She's also working on "drop it," "give," "leave it," and "come." Josie is an excellent walking buddy, though continued leash and command work will help her shine even brighter. She can be a bit overly enthusiastic when greeting new people, so she's looking for a family that can help her refine her jumping manners.
Ideal Home
Josie would thrive in an active home with humans who also appreciate quiet couch time. She needs to be the only pet in the household. Children aged 13 and up are best, as Josie's greetings can be enthusiastic and we want to ensure she doesn't accidentally knock anyone over. A fenced yard is preferred, but a home in an apartment might be a good fit depending on the owner's activity plan.
Ongoing Health
Josie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Josie is housebroken and crate trained. She knows "sit" and "crate" and is learning "drop it," "give," "leave it," and "come." She needs continued work on leash manners and refining her greeting style, as she tends to jump when excited.
