Norma Jeane is an approximately 8-year-old, 10lb poodle who is as playful and spunky as they come! Our vet believes she could be as young as 7, and she certainly acts like a lively, playful gal. Norma lives for the ball; her ideal day would consist of chasing it non-stop with short breaks for naps. She is wonderful with people, especially young children who are respectful around dogs. She follows a 4-year-old human child around the house, and they play ball together. Norma is very sweet but not a cuddler; she wants to play or be independent. If you're looking for an awesome sidekick who is game for anything, Norma is your girl! She has a medium energy level and would enjoy going along for rides, but once inside with a ball, it's game on! Norma has not exhibited any separation anxiety and is non-destructive when left to roam.
Ideal Home
Norma would thrive with an adopter who wants to play fetch with her at least 4 times a day. She is not a lap dog and would not be a good fit for someone looking for a cuddler. She is good with dogs but does not like super energetic dogs that get in her space; a laid-back dog would be great, or she would be content as a solo dog.
Ongoing Health
Norma Jeane successfully completed heartworm injections. She was not spayed prior to treatment as heartworm treatment was the priority. Our rescue will work with the adopter on an appropriate spay date before she leaves.
Training & Support
Norma is not 100% potty trained. If a back door is left open, she will do her business outside, but she may have an accident inside if not supervised. She has not yet mastered signaling when she needs to potty. She does well in a large crate and never has accidents in it, which is a great option for when her human isn't home.
