Mary

Meet Mary! This sweet girl has had a rough start in life, and it's clear she's experienced abuse in the past, making her initially wary of people. However, with over a year and a half in our care, Mary has blossomed into a much more confident pup. She now thrives in a pack of eight dogs, sharing her days with them happily. Even though she might offer a little bark when first meeting someone new, she quickly accepts them into her social circle. Mary is looking for a dedicated and experienced handler who can continue to help her build trust and confidence.

Ideal Home

Mary would do best in a home with an experienced handler. A fenced-in yard is a must for her to safely explore and enjoy her surroundings. She would be happy to have another dog companion, but she is also content being the sole canine resident in the household.

Ongoing Health

Mary is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Given her history, Mary may take some time to warm up to new people. Patience and understanding will be key to building a strong bond with her. Consistent positive reinforcement and a predictable routine will help her feel secure.

Transporation

Mary is currently located in Puerto Rico. Once adopted, she will be flown to Newark, NJ, where you will meet her for pickup.
