Who loves BIG girls? Lua is looking for a family of her own. Her foster said she has been an absolute dream as their newest houseguest. So far, Lua has been enjoying her decompression period in her own room, away from the hustle and bustle of the household. She is quiet, calm, and polite, happily spending her days taking long naps on her cozy new bed. One thing that surprised us? She's BIG! Her paperwork listed her as "medium," but she's about 70 pounds. She's truly a gentle giant. Lua is about 3 years old. Despite her size, Lua isn't rambunctious or anxious. She has wonderful manners and is even house-trained! Today she gently tapped her paws on the door to let us know she needed to go outside. We did a slow introduction with our resident dogs. She was so excited to meet them and immediately tried to play... unfortunately, she accidentally knocked them both over! (They're less than half her size.) We truly believe Lua thinks she's a lap dog. Lua will need slow introductions with any new dogs. Because of her size and enthusiasm, we haven't allowed her around our cats or youngest child without a leash while we continue to learn more about her. She's a sweetheart we're just taking introductions slowly and setting everyone up for success. Lua is an absolute doll who deserves a fresh start and a family to call her own.
