Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso / Weimaraner mix who came to us as a stray. He weighs 60 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy who just wants love and attention. He's very smart, a quick learner, and incredibly kind-hearted and affectionate. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and is a total couch potato who enjoys relaxing with his favorite humans. Smokey would thrive in a home that offers love, patience, and a cozy place to rest, and he's the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing dog.
Ideal Home
Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He gets a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, so he would thrive in a low-traffic home. Smokey also has some separation anxiety and would be best suited for someone with a house and not an apartment. He would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and only does his business outside. He walks great on a leash, although he can pull slightly when initially excited, he settles in and walks calmly. He can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but is easily redirected. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut inside it. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops crying. He does well if left to free roam. Smokey would do well in a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs and is very submissive during play.

Transporation
