About Peanut Butter

If your favorite part of the day is snuggling on the couch, meet your soulmate: Peanut Butter! This sweet 2-year-old Yellow Lab mix is a world-class lap dog who truly believes she's the size of a Chihuahua. She lives for kisses, cuddles, and being as close to her humans as possible. She may be a Tripawd due to a leg deformity, but don't let that fool you—she has a "spreadable" joy that hasn't slowed her down one bit. She's a high-speed wiggle butt who is always ready to roll!

Peanut Butter is a total cuddlebug and a self-appointed lap dog. She's incredibly food motivated and is already a pro on the leash, though she does pull sometimes. While she is the sweetest girl with humans and gives the best kisses, she is very choosy about her canine companions and can be dog reactive. Because of this, she's looking for a "single-serving" home where she can be your one-and-only.

Ideal Home

A home where she can be the only pet, and where her humans are ready for a devoted companion.

Ongoing Health

Peanut Butter is a Tripawd due to a leg deformity. Tripod dogs often need a little extra joint support as they age. Consider orthopedic beds and specialized harnesses to help take pressure off her remaining limbs.

Training & Support

While Peanut Butter is generally willing to train and has good leash manners, she can be dog reactive. Using high-value treats (like actual peanut butter!) during walks can help redirect her focus away from other dogs. Because she only has three legs, her "wiggle" can sometimes lead to a loss of balance on slippery floors. Non-slip rugs or toe grips can be a game-changer for her at home!
