Dewey

Dewey is a 4.5-month-old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix. He came to us after being abandoned, but his puppy charm helped him find a loving foster home. Dewey is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to give kisses. He's crate trained, doing well with potty training, and enjoys playing with his foster siblings (both canine and feline!). He's a smart boy who learns quickly, though he's still working on distinguishing chew toys from shoes. While generally brave, loud noises can startle him. Dewey is beginning to learn leash manners and basic obedience, and as a hound, he'd thrive with a secure, fenced yard for exploration and exercise. After a good romp, he's happy to snuggle up with his favorite person.

Ideal Home

A secure, fenced yard and a family with a reasonable activity level would be ideal for Dewey.

Ongoing Health

Dewey will be neutered prior to transport. All core vaccinations (DHPP, rabies) and microchipping are included in the adoption fee.

Training & Support

Dewey is still learning to differentiate between chew toys and shoes. He is also working on his leash manners and basic obedience.

Transporation

Dewey is currently located in South Texas and can be transported to his new home. Transportation is available to various states on the East and West Coast, including Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Connecticut, and Virginia.
