Meet Rio! He's a playful pup who looks just like an Oreo cookie, complete with floppy ears and a freckled snoot that might just smell like Frito pie! Rio is a super fast learner and loves to train for treats. He knows his name, sit, down, come, "rest," and a hand target. He's also a big fan of fetch and tug-of-war. Rio is working on his doggy social skills and would do best with a chill, sturdy dog friend his size or larger who won't be easily annoyed and can help him learn appropriate play. He's not a fan of cats and would prefer a home without them. Rio is crate trained and enjoys car rides, though he's still learning to love being restrained. He's a lovable and active boy who occasionally enjoys potato impersonations on the couch but is mostly about fun! Rio's foster mom, a professional trainer, is happy to provide guidance to help him continue on the path to good boy town.

Ideal Home

Rio would do well as an only pet or with a sturdy, calm dog companion his size or larger. He needs a home without cats and a family who enjoys entertaining antics and can provide extra guidance.
