Meet Mia, a brave and beautiful mama who has overcome so much! Mia's story is one of heartbreak turned into hope. She was found desperately needing rescue, tied up outside while her puppies were placed in a box and thrown into the trash. Though the pups were eventually pulled out, they were still kept away from her. Mia was frantic, malnourished, covered in ticks, and terrified.
Thanks to the kindness of rescuers, Mia and her babies recovered safely. This incredible mama finally got the chance to rest, heal, and just be a dog again.
Now, Mia is a sweet, playful, and loving companion. She is gentle and clearly cherishes her safety. Based on her appearance, she's likely a cattle dog/heeler mix. She is healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home.
Mia gave everything she had to protect her pups, even when the world wasn't kind to her. Now it's her turn to be cherished. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a survivor's heart, Mia is ready to meet you.

Transporation
Mia is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We arrange for transport to the US and Canada with the help of volunteer flight companions. Approved adopters will meet their new pup at the airport. During the summer months, if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable, dogs may fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border. This has been a successful option for many adoptions.
