Dolly

Dolly is a sweet girl who was rescued from a hoarding situation in Seguine. She was pregnant and scheduled for euthanasia but thankfully, she was saved! She gave birth to her puppies two weeks after arriving and has since been working hard to build trust. While she was initially very fearful and wouldn't allow herself to be touched, over the past three months, she has made incredible progress in building relationships with people. She can still be wary of strangers and may go into fight or flight mode, but she is much calmer on a leash with a trusted person. Dolly is learning to walk on a leash and is becoming more comfortable in common areas like the deck and yard. Having lived with 40 dogs, she is wonderful with other dogs! Dolly will need a patient, loving home to continue blossoming, but her eyes show she's ready for a real family.

Dolly would thrive in a home that understands her need for patience and gentle encouragement. She needs a family that can help her continue to build confidence and trust.

Dolly is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Dolly is learning to walk on a leash and gain confidence in new environments. She benefits greatly from a trusted handler when exploring. Her past experiences mean she needs a home that will provide consistent, loving support as she continues her journey.
