A little about them

Lucy is a sweet, affectionate Standard Poodle who came to Carolina Poodle Rescue as a breeder release. She lived with a family for two years before being returned after an incident involving the resident dog. With patience and time to warm up, Lucy becomes affectionate, curious, and eager to be part of daily life.

Ideal Home

Lucy needs a calm home, a patient adopter, a predictable routine, and safe feeding practices. A fenced yard is required. She may do well with adults or families with older children and a respectful dog, though a canine companion is not required. Chaotic homes and families expecting instant confidence are not the best fit.

Lucy has moderate energy and enjoys walks, exploring, gentle play, companionship, and being included in daily routines. Cats are currently unknown and will be tested.

Training & Support

Lucy is intelligent, loving, and making steady progress learning how to live in a home. Once she trusts you, she may follow you everywhere.
