Meet Idgie, a beautiful 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix weighing about 62 pounds. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully up to date on all her care—ready to head straight into her forever home. With her striking looks and soulful eyes, Idgie has a quiet presence that draws you in. She truly enjoys having a canine companion to bond with and does wonderfully with other dogs her size. While she gets along great with dogs, people are her favorite! She’s also cat friendly and has been around children of various ages, always remaining calm and gentle. Her steady temperament makes her a great fit for a family environment.
Ideal Home
Idgie is a respectful housemate who is fully housebroken and crate trained. She has comfortably stayed in her crate for up to nine hours and sleeps peacefully through the night. Because she can be a bit of an escape artist, a yard with at least 6-foot fencing is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Idgie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully up to date on all her care.
Training & Support
Idgie has shown some resource guarding around her meals, so she is fed separately from other pets. However, she has no issues with treats, toys, or bones—just her food bowl. With simple management at mealtime, she continues to thrive and show what a well-mannered girl she is. While Idgie can get the occasional burst of zoomies, she’s not high-energy all day long. She enjoys playtime but equally loves long naps and cuddling up beside you. She’s smart, a little serious at first, and incredibly loving once she feels secure.
