Georgey is an adorable 11-month-old pup weighing approximately 32 lbs. While his exact parentage is unknown, we believe he's a mix of Australian Kelpie with Labrador or Catahoula. Georgey has been with his foster family since March 2025, after being born on a ranch in South Texas. He and his brother, Johnny, were the only ones surrendered to rescue. Georgey is a class clown, always willing to try new things and eager to please. He's more submissive and loves to be accepted by other dogs, big and small. He enjoys playing with his toys and spending time in the yard. Georgey is a relaxed and easy-going boy who loves his people and will follow you around, always trying to please. He can get a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's in his kennel, making sad whimpers to be let out, which usually works! He's a tough toy enthusiast and would do best with durable toys. Georgey has met cats and has no issues with them, and he also loves children, strangers, and any human he meets.
Ideal Home
Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs to play with. He'd also enjoy a kiddie pool to splash in and regular walks to explore new sights and smells. He would be a wonderful fit for most types of households.
Ongoing Health
Georgey is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and dewormer. He has received a 30-day course of antibiotics for heartworm and needs to remain on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months, with a retest afterward. He will receive a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey loves to play with his toys so much that he often ends up with many pieces of a single toy rather than just one! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Georgey.
