Echo

Echo is a gorgeous, gentle, 2-year-old mixed breed, believed to be a Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. While not an XL dog, she'll likely weigh around 60lbs. Echo is a shy girl who may flop onto her back submissively or hang back when feeling overwhelmed. She has experience living with other dogs and cats, but she's nervous around new dogs and needs slow, careful introductions. She's happy to observe from a distance and, once comfortable, can move past them without issue. It's important to expand her world at her pace, as she can become reactive if pushed too quickly to approach other dogs. Echo is also new to car rides, though she'll get in willingly and doesn't get car sick, she can be a bit anxious. Leash walking is also a new skill she's quickly starting to enjoy. She is cat-friendly.

Ideal Home

Because Echo is noise-sensitive, we're looking for an adult-only home or a home with children aged 10+ who can help build her confidence. Scary events, even just once, can cause setbacks for sensitive dogs like Echo.

Ongoing Health

Echo's spay surgery still needs to be completed by our local partner vet. Her adoption fee includes a basic health exam, her first vaccines, rabies vaccine, microchip, and parasite treatment. You will be responsible for a booster vaccine and any additional vaccines you may choose, including the Lyme vaccine and Bordetella. Adopters are also offered a free month of Trupanion insurance.

Training & Support

Echo is still learning about the world and needs gentle guidance. Building her confidence with new experiences, like car rides and leash walking, is key to her success. Patience and understanding will go a long way with this sweet girl.
