Navajo, a charming 6.5-year-old Pitbull mix weighing 75 pounds, is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing pup who brings the perfect balance of playful energy and relaxed companionship. He's the kind of dog who's just as happy joining you for a daily walk as he is curling up nearby for a cozy evening at home. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly in one-on-one or small group settings, and often shows his affection by greeting his people with his favorite stuffed animal. He's an excellent car rider, a staff favorite at the vet, and has no issues with stairs. He even has a knack for finding cozy, unusual nap spots! Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and can be left loose in the house without any signs of separation anxiety. He loves meeting new people and has shown no concerns around children.
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and lots of affection. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. He would do best in a cat-free home due to a strong prey drive and fixation toward cats observed during a boarding stay.
Ongoing Health
Navajo recently underwent dental work, which included the removal of several damaged teeth, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still enjoys chewing his favorite bones without any issues.
Training & Support
Navajo is polite and non-reactive on leash, though he may pull a little at the start of walks when excited. He usually reads social cues well with other dogs, but may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets too excited. He has made great progress with his doggy manners at daycare.
