Freyja is a sweet, affectionate girl who would love to snuggle on the couch with her new family. She was found dumped on a dark road with puppies that were nowhere to be found, and sadly, her previous owners did not care for her. Despite her past, Freyja is a loving dog who gets so excited around stuffed animals and beds that they practically explode with joy! She would do best in a home where she can get plenty of attention and go on car rides with the windows down, as she absolutely loves them. She has a special bond with her 9-year-old human foster sister, her favorite person.
Ideal Home
Freyja would do best with an experienced dog parent who has had large dogs before and has experience with shy and fearful dogs. She needs a patient person who can be home with her.
Ongoing Health
Freyja is a pit bull mix, and like many of her breed, she will need strong chew toys to keep her occupied and happy.
Training & Support
Freyja sometimes forgets her size when she gets excited and may jump on people. She is working on correcting this behavior, and due to her size, caution and training are recommended. She will need help with housebreaking, as her foster family works long hours and hasn't been able to establish a consistent potty schedule. She is not a fan of her crate and can be vocal when kenneled. She is great off-lead. She needs a family with time, patience, and experience with training to help her reach her full potential as a wonderful companion.
