Hello, my name is Bean! I'm a sweet, handsome puppy with an adorable pouty face, expressive eyebrows, and big paws that make me a bit clumsy. I'm a silly and quirky boy who loves to ham it up and be the center of attention! I collect my toys in my bed and proudly parade them around. I need to be near my humans and check in often. I love being part of the action so much that I've been known to fall asleep sitting up! I came from Texas with my brother, who is with a different foster family.
Ideal Home
I'd love a family with at least one person who has plenty of time to give me attention and love, whether at home or out and about. I enjoy being busy and then napping near my favorite person. A best friend to spend most of the day with would be wonderful! While I'm not currently living with other dogs, I have a lot of playful energy, and I think another dog would be a great outlet for it. I also get along with cats and have no prey drive issues. I play well with pre-teen neighbors and warm up quickly to new friends, though I always check in with my foster parents.
Ongoing Health
I am mostly potty trained, but I can have accidents when I get too excited during playtime and forget to ask to go out. I sleep soundly in my kennel all night, but I might protest a little when put in my kennel during the day before settling down.
Training & Support
I know "sit" and love to show off this trick! I'm learning to walk on a leash, though sometimes my stubborn Mastiff side prefers to play inside or in the yard. I'm also working on "leave it" and understanding the difference between toys and other items. I'm smart and attentive, and would likely do well in an obedience course in a few months when I'm a bit older and more confident with new sights and smells. I'm teething and enjoy chewing on my toys, especially stuffies, bones, and harder plastic toys. I also love a good game of tug-of-war! I'm considered a good dog for a first-time puppy owner because I'm eager to learn and be included.
