About Nona
Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix with a personality that's really starting to shine! She’s playful, confident, and soaking up the world around her. Nona is built like a little tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She loves to zoom around the backyard with her favorite toy and greets her foster mom with an enthusiastic flying leap. Nona is all sweetness, loves being near her people, and her whole body wiggles when she gets excited. She enjoys meeting new friends and has been practicing her socializing skills. Nona has a stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable and funny. She's incredibly clever and loves figuring things out. She is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training fun and rewarding. Nona has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. She enjoys walks of up to 2-3 miles and is delightful once she arrives at her destination, though she may not love the car ride. Nona is fully crate trained, especially overnight, and is doing great with her potty training. She's a shy little watchdog and will alert you if she hears or sees something unfamiliar. Nona has an adorable underbite that makes her goofy expressions even cuter. She is dog-friendly and gets along great with her foster siblings. She would do best with a canine companion who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight. While Nona hasn't been around cats or children in a home setting, we think she'd do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She'd thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only. Nona is expected to fill out into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog.
