Lebowski

Lebowski is settling into rescue life after struggling in the stressful shelter environment. Like many dogs, the constant noise and confinement caused him to become barrier reactive in his kennel, a behavior that often comes from frustration and stress, not aggression. Once out of that environment, Lebowski has shown us what a sweet and sensitive soul he really is. We believe Lebowski is around 6-7 years old and appears to be a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix. As he continues to decompress, his gentle personality is shining through more every day. He absolutely loves ear rubs, affection, and quiet companionship. This handsome senior deserves a soft place to land where he can finally relax, feel safe, and be loved for the rest of his days.

Ideal Home

Lebowski is a very sweet boy, but he can be uneasy when startled by unfamiliar people or unexpected situations. Because of this, he would do best in a calm, predictable home with routine and structure. A quieter household with an older person or couple would likely be the perfect fit for him.

Ongoing Health

Lebowski is a senior dog and has been neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Lebowski has shown barrier reactivity in his kennel, which is a behavior often stemming from frustration and stress. This behavior has improved significantly once out of the stressful shelter environment.
