Liora, formerly known as Gloria, is a sweet girl whose name perfectly reflects her gentle spirit and heart full of love. She has a way of making every day brighter, bringing a calm and comforting presence whether she's lounging, following you around, or cuddling up on the couch. Her foster describes her as incredibly affectionate and happiest when close to her people, happily joining you on the couch and even resting her head on anything nearby – your lap, a leg, a cushion, or another dog. Liora loves being connected to those she cares about.
She is wonderful with children and possesses a remarkably gentle nature. When her family is busy, Liora is content to quietly sit at their feet, happy just to be nearby. She doesn't need to be the center of attention, simply wanting to be part of the moment. Liora is also impressively quiet, settling into her crate without complaint and sleeping soundly from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., and doing well with a few hours of daytime crating. Many are surprised to find she rarely barks. Despite her laid-back personality, Liora enjoys playing and can even be a bit of a roughhouser with the resident dog, loving canine companionship and socializing. Her expressive ears and sweet personality make her impossible not to love.
Ideal Home
Liora would thrive in a home where she can be close to her people and share life's quiet moments. She enjoys canine companionship and would likely do well in a home with another dog.
Ongoing Health
Liora previously experienced a heat stroke. Exercise and outdoor activity during hot weather should be carefully monitored, and caution is advised during summer months, especially during the hottest parts of the day.
Training & Support
Liora is not a fan of being crated, but she settles in without complaint when necessary.
