Lucy is a 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog who is learning what it's like to be loved and included! She came to us from a situation where she was living on a chain, but thankfully, her previous owner allowed us to spay her, and then generously surrendered her to us. Now, she's in a private foster home in Texas, living with 8 other dogs and soaking up all the affection.
Lucy is a charming, smaller-sized Blue Heeler. She's incredibly loyal, observant, and smart. While she can be a little bossy with some dogs, she's generally mellow and easy-going. She absolutely loves affection but isn't clingy. Lucy is a playful pup who gets along with most dogs, though she might playfully nip at the heels of dogs she doesn't immediately click with – a true Heeler trait! She's a champion at fetch and has so far ignored cats. She's a bit peculiar around small dogs, but we're still figuring that one out! Lucy walks nicely in public and is a fantastic car rider.
Ideal Home
Lucy would do best with someone who is familiar with herding breeds. She can be timid with new people and needs a little time to warm up. Like many Heelers, she enjoys supervising and following her people around, often with a classic, dramatic side-eye!
Ongoing Health
Lucy is spayed, microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.
Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near you), and leash trained. She's a good girl who's eager to please!
