Chance

Meet Chance, a sweet and soulful 4-year-old neutered and vaccinated Staffie mix. He was rescued from an overcrowded Houston shelter after being abandoned in an apartment, and he's a dog who leaves a lasting impression. With an "old soul" vibe, Chance is a perfect blend of gentle, goofy, and loving, always sporting a smile that can brighten anyone's day.

Ideal Home

Chance would thrive in a loving home with a relaxed, predictable routine. He'd do well with a semi-active family with older kids and another dog his size, or as the cherished center of attention as an only dog. Due to a strong prey drive, cats will not be a good fit for Chance.

Training & Support

Chance has great house manners and is fully house trained. He sleeps through the night and can stay home alone without issue. While he dislikes his crate door being closed, he's happy napping in an open crate or anywhere comfortable. He’s a smart boy who learns routines quickly and is motivated by treats, making him a great candidate for continued training. When something exciting catches his attention, like squirrels, he can be a bit stubborn, but the word "cookie" quickly brings him back to his manners.
