Charlie (9mo)

Hi there! My name is Charlie, and I'm a handsome 9-month-old German Shepherd mix looking for my forever family. I've had a bit of a rough start in life, but thanks to IDGSR, I'm safe and sound, and gaining confidence every day! I'm a smart, resilient, athletic, playful, and curious pup who dreams of walks, pup cups, and a loving family to call my own.

Ideal Home

I would do best in a home that is gentle, kind, and loving. I'll do fine with kids 6 and older, and I'm also good with other large dogs and cats. A safe yard for me to run and play in would be wonderful!

Ongoing Health

All dogs in our program are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, and are spayed or neutered.

Training & Support

I am a little behind mentally and socially due to my past experiences, but I'm smart and learning quickly! I'm doing great with house and crate training, but please be patient with me if I have an accident or two. I do need full obedience training to help me be the best boy I can be. Positive reinforcement with treats like hot dogs or cheese works wonders for me!

• Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters by appointment only.
• Due to the high volume of inquiries, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications.
• All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, so please be respectful of their time.

Transporation

I am currently being fostered in Tennessee, near Nashville. We do transport dogs to the east coast, and a transport fee will apply.
