About Isabelle

Isabelle is our oldest rescue, and she's been patiently waiting for her forever family since May 20, 2025. She came to us from another shelter as a puppy and was adopted out. She returned to us at one year old and, after a period of waiting, found another home. In that home, she was a devoted companion, acting as a protector for her female owner while the male owner traveled for business. She received plenty of TLC and training. Unfortunately, her owners went through a divorce, and Isabelle was returned to us last May through no fault of her own. Isabelle misses having a big yard to play in and a loving family to snuggle with. She is a very well-mannered girl who knows her obedience commands. While she holds a special place in our hearts, kennel life isn't the best environment for her.

Ideal Home

Isabelle would do best in a home with older children. She's not a fan of having her belly or booty touched (unless it's a booty scratch – she absolutely loves those!). She also gets along well with young, submissive canine companions, or she'd be happy as an only dog. A large yard is a must for her to run and play, as she has lots of energy. We recommend a fenced-in yard or the use of a training collar, similar to what her previous owner used. Isabelle is a people-pleaser and particularly enjoys the company of women.
