Carter

Carter is a loving, fun-loving, and happy young male Labrador Retriever mix who is ready to find his forever family! He came to Waymaker Rescue with no prior human interaction, but with time and patience, Carter has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He absolutely thrives with other dogs and his idea of a perfect day involves running with his canine friends in the water and woods. Carter is also good on leash, fully house-trained, and loves his crate, which will make the transition into his new home even smoother.

Ideal Home

Carter would do best in a home where he can have plenty of opportunities to run and play, especially with other dogs. He would love access to water and wooded areas.

Ongoing Health

Carter is currently on anxiety medication, but with a loving and stable environment in his forever home, he can be weaned off.

Training & Support

Carter is already house-trained and good on leash. His success will come from continued positive reinforcement and understanding of his past.
