ROXIE

Roxie is a 9-year-old mixed breed who came to us on January 18, 2024. She's a sweet and friendly girl who gets very excited to see people! While Roxie can be a strong walker, especially at first, she settles in nicely. She has lived with other dogs, but needs to be the only pet in her home as she can be aggressive towards cats, rabbits, rodents, and smaller dogs. Roxie has also lived with children of all ages and was very friendly and tolerant with them. She knows "sit" and "stay" and loves to play with tennis balls (though she's known to destroy them!) and enjoys treats. If you're looking for an affectionate, playful, and slightly independent companion, Roxie might be the perfect fit for you!

Ideal Home

Roxie would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard as she is a runner. She needs to be the only pet in the home, as she cannot live with cats, rabbits, rodents, or small dogs.

Ongoing Health

Roxie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is on monthly heartworm and flea preventative.

Training & Support

Roxie needs to work on curtailing her jumping on people.

Transporation

Roxie is located at Clay County Humane Society in Brazil, Indiana. Transport may be available to approved adopters within a reasonable distance.
