Nala is a sweet, cuddly, and affectionate 3-4 year old girl who absolutely loves attention! She was found near a Circle K and came out to meet us when her partner, Deejay, was approached. Nala is incredibly grateful for kindness and trust, often cradling her head in a hand or leaning in for pets. She enjoys chewing on her Nylabone and loves resting, though she's also learning to enjoy short walks and is picking up on "down," "sit," and "come" very quickly.
This loyal and calm girl is learning to trust, and with consistency, her eyes now show happiness. She can panic a little if Deejay isn't around, unsure if he'll return. While she might gently step back if uncomfortable, she's incredibly relieved when her trust isn't harmed. Her best qualities are her patience and gentleness. We love her reliant and grateful nature, and it's wonderful to see her smile, wag her tail, and give kisses! Nala has two large scars on her head and her chest hangs due to past breeding, but these only add to her unique beauty. She is a mama who has experienced great loss and responds beautifully to affection, making her the most loving girl we've ever met.
Ideal Home
Nala would do well in a home with a yard and potentially a doggy door if adopters are away during the day. She thrives with indoor opportunities and regular, short walks to build her confidence. It is crucial that her best friend, Deejay, is also considered in any adoption plans, as she is most happy when he is included. Children may be difficult for her due to her fear of loud people.
Ongoing Health
Nala has scarring on her head and her chest hangs due to past breeding.
Training & Support
Nala is learning to walk on a leash and is quickly picking up commands like "down," "sit," and "come." She is still building trust and can be a little fearful if Deejay is not present. Consistency and gentle reassurance will be key to her continued confidence.
