Poe is a 4-year-old, neutered Pittie mix, weighing around 60 lbs. He's a delightful dog who is as playful and affectionate as he is loyal. Poe is an outgoing and fun-loving companion with a great sense of humor and intelligence, guaranteed to bring laughter and love into your home. He even enjoys posing for mini photo shoots! Poe is a curious, smart, silly, and affectionate boy who loves tug toys, belly rubs, and spending time with his people. One of his unique quirks is his serious dedication to backyard patrols before he settles down. He is quiet when meeting new people, preferring to warm up before showing his true snuggly nature. Poe is a good traveler, handles stairs well, and is generally an easygoing and happy dog to have around.
Ideal Home
Poe would thrive in a moderately active to high-activity home that can keep him engaged with walks, play sessions, and a sense of purpose. He is terrified of thunder, fireworks, and loud buzzing noises, so his adopter should be prepared to comfort him during these times. He doesn't require another dog in the home but would enjoy a canine companion with a compatible energy level, provided introductions are done slowly.

Training & Support
Poe is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping soundly through the night. He is always fed in his crate, which helps maintain a calm and routine mealtime. He has never shown any guarding issues with people or food and happily accepts treats from trusted hands. While Poe is enthusiastic during walks, pulling with excitement, he would benefit from continued leash training and structure to become a dream walking companion. He is eager to learn and loves to please, so further command training would help him be his best self.

Transporation
Poe is currently being fostered in Austin, Texas. Transports to approved adopters out of state are arranged every few weeks. Transport is included in the adoption donation.
