Milky Way is a charming Chihuahua boy who weighs about 8.6 lbs, born on January 10, 2026. He's a playful, happy little dog who loves to run and enjoy life. Milky Way is affectionate, social, and always ready to join in whatever is happening around him. He is generally quiet and not much of a barker, but his sweet personality speaks for itself. He sleeps in an open crate at night and is comfortable using it as his safe space. Milky Way and his siblings were born into difficult circumstances, but thankfully, we were able to step in and give them a second chance. Today, Milky Way is safe and loved, and now he is searching for a forever family of his own. He deserves a lifetime of kindness, stability, and love, and he will reward his family with endless devotion.
Ideal Home
Milky Way would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a real intention to rescue a dog and an open mind about the behaviors of rescued animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, is highly desired. He also needs a family with high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Milky Way is neutered and up to date on vaccines, including DHPPI and Rabies. He is dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
Training & Support
Milky Way is not house-trained and will require patience and guidance as he continues to mature. Like most young dogs, he is curious and enjoys chewing, so he will need an understanding family to help him learn.

- Upon approval, you will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which covers vet care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, and food.
Transportation
Milky Way is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, but is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip if adopted. A one-time transport fee of $400 USD covers door-to-door delivery. Our transport process involves scheduled trips with a partnered transport company. Pets will travel with all necessary legal documents, including a transport contract and health certificates. You will receive real-time updates throughout the journey.
