Poe is an 8-month-old, 28lb bundle of joy with the most unforgettable ears you've ever seen! This playful, goofy, and energetic pup makes every day brighter just by being himself. He has a sweet demeanor, loves treats, and already knows "sit" and "down." Poe isn't a big jumper, but he does respond well to "off" when he tries to climb into your lap for a hug, resting his head on your shoulder in a way that's truly heartwarming. He's super smart and we bet he'd learn just about anything for a treat! Poe loves attention, other dogs, and is always ready for some pouncing, wrestling, and zooming around with his friends. If there's fun to be had, Poe is already leading the charge – he loves toys, bones, and adventures!
Ideal Home
Poe is looking for an active family who will take him on adventures, let him explore the world, and enjoy all the excitement he brings. He is good with older children and dogs, but would prefer a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
All dogs adopted through Wags have received a thorough veterinary examination, all routine annual vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), a Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming, Microchip, Flea and Tick Prevention, Heartworm Prevention, and have been Spayed/Neutered. Puppies are quarantined for four weeks outside of the shelter to ensure they don't break with disease. Wags vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge. After adoption, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting. Dogs treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after their last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae and should be re-tested 5-6 months after their last Heartworm treatment.
Training & Support
Poe does need some more leash training as he is still a puppy and pulls a bit. He is a smart boy and we suspect he would learn just about anything for a treat!
