About Hugo

Meet Hugo! This striking, solid black Labrador is 3 years old and weighs a solid 65 pounds of lean muscle. Hugo is a tall Lab, built for action and adventure, especially when it involves water! If there's a puddle, pond, hose, or lake, Hugo will find it in seconds. He is a highly active boy who thrives when he has a job to do or training to focus his big, athletic energy. Structure, enrichment, and consistency help him shine, and he's eager to learn when given direction.

At just one year old, Hugo was heartbreakingly abandoned, labeled "too crazy" when in reality, he was simply a young puppy full of life. Now older and more mature, he's looking for a family willing to teach him the ways of being a well-mannered house dog and give him the stability he missed early on. With patience, outlets for his energy, and plenty of water adventures, Hugo will grow into an incredible companion—loyal, joyful, and always ready for the next splash! Hugo is ready for his second chance, his forever family, and a life filled with love.
